Run Whitefish is a proud member of the Road Runners Club of America. We’re bringing more running events to the valley and raising funds for other organizations that make our community great. Weekly runs, races and USATF sanctioned events throughout the year are just a few things you can look forward to from Run Whitefish! We are a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) through the Road Runner’s Club of America (RRCA) group exemption. Any donations made to the club will be tax-deductible. Donations can be made by clicking the donate link on the homepage. If you would like to help with the club in any way or have a question please use the contact information below.
Matthew moved to Whitefish in 2001 from Colorado and couldn’t have dreamt of a better outcome! Family and friends really make me feel a part of this community. Running is a new thing for me and I’m jumping in with both feet. I started running in August of 2009 and ran my first half marathon at the Two Bear the same summer. I’m looking forward to many more, both Run Whitefish events and others!
Jessie has been running since 2007, but only recently considers herself a runner. She has completed 2 marathons, 4 half marathons and 2 sprint triathlons. She runs for many reasons, but the top three reasons are to get in shape for skiing, to be able to eat lots of food, and to keep her running-partner puppy, Rekawae, in tip-top shape! When Jessie is not skiing, she spends her time pursuing the outdoors with her husband Jeremy and daughter Laelia, skiing as much as possible, reading, gardening and teaching piano lessons.
Tiffany has been a runner for as long as she can remember, lets call
that 1995 with her first debut cross country season and 2002 when she first graduated into double digit races. Nowadays she can be called an Ultramarathoner, Marathon Maniac, and RRCA Running Coach. Sometimes she has been also called a little crazy, but aren’t all runners just a tad crazy? Besides running, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her family, dogs, backpacking, snowshoeing, cooking, yoga, helping others find their athletic passions, and living life as much as possible.
Tammy has been running since 2007 as a way to maintain sanity while creating a healthy lifestyle change with the help of Weight Watchers. 73 pounds ago she could barely walk a 5k. She has since completed multiple 5k's, 10k's, and Bloomsday runs. As of January 2012, she completed her 10th half marathon since July 2009, with 11 more on the schedule for just this year and a goal to complete her first full marathon next year (2013). Since she was a junior in high school, Tam has worked full-time as a bookkeeper but is in the process of a changing her career path by studying for multiple certifications in personal training, fitness nutrition and water fitness training with the focus on children and/or women over the age of 40. She is also a member of the Half Fanatics Club, Glacier Tennis Club, and Run Wild Missoula Run Club. Her passion for running, fitness and health is evident in all aspects of her life and inspiring to those around her.
